Bangalore is official capital city of Karnataka. It is also popularly known as Bengaluru. Total population of the city is around 8.4 million. It is also the third most populated city of India. It is located on southern India on the Deccan Plateau. The name Bengalūru (Kannada) was declared officially in the year 2006. It is also known as the “Silicon Valley of India” because most of the large IT companies have their head offices in Bangalore. Companies like ISRO, Google, Microsoft, IBM and many other top MNCs have their offices in Bangalore. It is the second fastest growing city of the India.
